LTTE: SLA push from Paranthan thwartedLiberation
Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) officials in Vanni told TamilNet Sunday evening that an offensive push launched by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) forces stationed in Paranthan Junction towards 2nd Mile Post on Paranthan Mullaiththeevu Road was thwarted after heavy fighting on Sunday. The Tigers have seized arms and ammunitions as the SLA forces were forced to withdraw after suffering high casualties, the Tigers said.
